This document outlines our protocols for data handling and service guarantees. 1.2 Platforms Covered: This policy applies to all data collected via jewelrybyben.net, our official mobile application, and in-person consultations. 1.3 Consent: By engaging with our Services, you hereby acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in sections 1.0 through 7.0 of this disclosure.

2.1 Information Collected Directly: We limit our data collection to essential identifiers required for order fulfillment.

  • 2.1.1 Primary Identifiers: We collect client names and verified phone numbers.
  • 2.1.2 Transactional Data: We maintain records of jewelry pieces submitted for repair and purchase history. 2.2 Prohibited Data Collection: We strictly adhere to a policy of non-collection regarding:
  • 2.2.1 Sensitive Personal Information (SPI): Including but not limited to SSN, biometric data, or medical history.
  • 2.2.2 Third-Party Enrichment: We do not acquire data from external brokers or marketing databases.

SECTION 3.0: CRAFTSMANSHIP GUARANTEE & REPAIR RIGHTS

3.1 Standard of Excellence: All work performed by Jewelry By Ben is subject to rigorous quality control. 3.2 The 24-48 Hour Protection Window: Clients are granted a specific window to report craftsmanship errors.

  • 3.2.1 Error Definition: A craftsmanship error is defined as a failure in the structural integrity or assembly of the piece (e.g., loose settings, faulty soldering) not caused by external impact.
  • 3.3.2 Remedy A (Free Repair): If a valid error is reported within 48 hours of pick-up/delivery, the item will be repaired at zero cost to the client.
  • 3.3.3 Remedy B (Full Refund): In conjunction with the free repair, the client will receive a 100% refund of the original service fee. 3.4 Post-Window Claims: Issues reported after the 48-hour window may be subject to standard repair rates at the discretion of the jeweler.

SECTION 4.0: OPERATIONAL USE OF DATA

4.1 Internal Processing: Data is used to facilitate the repair lifecycle and logistics. 4.2 Fraud Prevention: Phone numbers may be used to verify the identity of individuals picking up high-value items. 4.3 Communication Standards: We may contact you via SMS or voice call regarding:

  • 4.3.1 Quote approvals for custom work.
  • 4.3.2 Notification of repair completion.
  • 4.3.3 Critical updates to this Privacy Policy.

SECTION 5.0: SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE

5.1 Encryption Standards: Our digital platforms utilize industry-standard encryption to protect data during transit. 5.2 Physical Safeguards: Client contact information stored on-site is kept on secured, password-protected systems. 5.3 Breach Protocol: In the unlikely event of a data security incident, Jewelry By Ben will notify all affected parties within 72 hours of discovery.

SECTION 6.0: CLIENT RIGHTS AND DATA CONTROL

6.1 Access and Portability: You have the right to request a digital transcript of the contact information we have on file. 6.2 The Right to Erasure: Clients may request the permanent deletion of their name and phone number from our records, provided there are no active repair tickets. 6.3 Accuracy Correction: You may update your contact information at any time by emailing our support address.
